How to read these numbers

System size (kW) is the DC rating of the panels — the figure on the equipment, not a projection. A 4.44 kW system means 4.44 kW of panels went on the roof. It is the one number in solar that cannot be spun.

Timeline counts from signed contract to permission to operate, including the utility and the permitting office. Those two steps are outside any installer's control and are usually the longest part. We publish the real elapsed time rather than the working days we were on site, because the elapsed time is what you actually wait.

What is deliberately not here: bill-offset and savings percentages. Those depend entirely on which net-metering regime applied when the system switched on. A system commissioned under NEM 2.0 produces a headline offset that is simply not achievable under the NEM 3.0 net-billing tariff in force today — quoting it would flatter us and mislead you. For a figure that reflects the rules you would actually be signing up to, use the savings calculator, which is built around current export rates and the non-offsettable PG&E base charge.

Why there are no photos yet. We would rather show nothing than show a stock photograph of someone else's roof captioned as our work. Photographs go up here as customers agree to them.

Each project links through to the city page for that area, where the local permitting office, housing stock and utility arrangements are covered in more detail.
